John Bawtree lives in Suffolk but travels much to paint landscapes and architecture. A frequent visitor to Oman over many years John has long wondered how Zanzibar, the other half of the once great Oman trading empire, has fared since splitting with Muscat in 1861.  Consequently John stayed in Zanzibar last September and this exhibition is the result.
